Reverend Willie Ward, Jr. serves as the 40th pastor of Mt. Pisgah Christian Methodist Episcopal (C.M.E.) Church. Prior to accepting the call into full-time ministry, Rev. Ward served as Supply Pastor at Mt. Hebrew C.M.E Church and devoted 11 years as pastor of Washington Chapel C.M.E. Church. His career before ministry includes over 30 years in management roles. He is currently a volunteer facilitator for City of Memphis Mayor Jim Strickland’s, “Manhood University Program”, Chairman of the Finance Committee for the Northeast Episcopal District Joint Board of Finance, Coordinator for the First Episcopal District, and former Chairman of the Board of Directors for the First Episcopal District Technology Center. He has an Associate Degree in Mid-Management Technology from State Technical Institute in Memphis, a Bachelor of Business Administration from Lemoyne Owen College, and a Master’s in Christian Studies from Union University. Rev. Ward and Dorothy, his wife of 45 years have three children, six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
